Dr. Tia C. Dolet
Bio
Tia C. Dolet, Ph.D. is an intersectional education researcher, equity strategist, and program manager committed to transforming how schools and systems support historically marginalized youth. With over a decade of experience advancing college access, workforce development, and educational justice, Dr. Dolet brings a deep understanding of the barriers and possibilities facing Black and Brown youth across K-12 and higher education systems.

She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Urban Education from UNC Charlotte, where her research focused on gender-responsive programming and liberatory learning environments for Black girls. Her work critically examines how race, gender identity, and socioeconomic status intersect to shape student experiences, and how schools and nonprofits can build thirdspace programs that affirm student identity and resist systemic harm.
Currently serving as a Senior Learning Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, Dr. Dolet advises federal agencies on equity-centered evaluation strategies. Her portfolio spans data analysis, curriculum design, and the development of student-centered tools that support access to high-wage, high-growth careers.
A proud product of public education, Dr. Dolet is also the founder of the Thirdspace Collective, an education consulting firm that helps schools and nonprofits create inclusive programs rooted in research, cultural responsiveness, and youth empowerment. Whether mentoring students, co-authoring policy briefs, or presenting at national conferences, she is driven by a singular mission: to help young people thrive unapologetically in spaces designed with them in mind.

She is also the proud aunt of two amazing nieces. Spending time with them is her favorite thing to do.
